Xu Bing in Cambridge: Lectures and Symposium

The Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Science and Humanities (CRASSH) has invited Xu Bing to participate in a few events in Cambridge in late April 2015.

He will give  two public lectures  and participate in a concluding symposium. He will also attend a talk and reception at the Fitzwilliam Museum to celebrate his visit to Cambridge.


The events are as follows:

27 April 2015 Lecture: The Reactivation of Tradition

28 April 2015 Talk and Reception: Xu Bing at the Fitzwilliam Museum

29 April 2015 Lecture: The Energy of Reality and the Creativity of Art

30 April 2015 Symposium: Chinese Tradition/Chinese Reality

Upcoming Exhibitions and Lectures : SCAD and FIU Frost Art Museum

Xu-Bing_Backstory

Xu Bing will be guest speaking at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) as a deFINE ART 2015 program honoree. The lecture will take place on the 18th of February 2015 at the Trustees Theater.

His Solo Exhibition: Things Are Not What They First Appear will be on display at the SCAD Museum of Art from the 17th of February to the 3rd of July 2015.

Another of the artist’s upcoming exhibition, Xu Bing: Writing Between Heaven and Earth will open at Florida International University’s Frost Art Museum on the 21st of February. He will also be conducting a lecture about his latest work and the exhibition at the opening reception.
